| الملخص: | This study compares the different opinions of grammarians and Quranic interpreters
from both the classical and contemporary periods on the problems relating to al-‘atf
al-nasaq. The study examines verses of Sūrah al-Baqarāh but also assesses its usage
and syntactic rules in the prophetic tradition, Arabic poetry and provebs. This study
also includes topics of dispute concerning al-‘atf such as al-‘atfu ‘ala ad-dāmir almakhfud, and also al-‘atfu ‘ala ad-dāmir al-marfu’ al-muttasil. The researcher utilized
the descriptive, inductive and analytical methods, through collecting data and points
of views from the different references that are related to the study of grammar and
other linguistic fields. The study concludes by putting forward some theoretical and
practical applications of al-'atf with regard to the holy text al-Qur’an. |
