| الملخص: | The research is an exploratory-evaluative study of al-Sadiq al-Mahdi's Islamic discourse, the current religio-political leader of Neo-Mahdism m Sudan. The research sheds light on Mahdiyyah movement in general focusing on al-Sadiq's view where he believes that the Sudanese Mahdiyyah is the new version of the four famous Sunni Mahdist schools. It also explores his Islamic discourse which emphasizes on three key areas, namely Islam and social change, Universal Declaration of Human Right (UDHR) and Muslim-Muslim dialogue. However, the research selects some key areas of his Islamic discourse in each category such as jihad, taqlid and reform all under social change, while issues like marriage being a social contract and apostasy are intellectually discussed under UDHR. |
