總結:A geographic Information System application is developed and continues to grow rapidly particularly in the planning and monitoring of development. Therefore, this research will explore the GIS application by applying it in the form of planning support system for determining residential land use allocation. Base on research approaches, namely is to generate several residential land use scenario, hence “What if?” 2.0 Planning Support System software is chosen to be applied after this software has proven that it is useful to planners and decision makers. This application is also being implemented using Mukim of Kajang, Hulu Langat, Selangor, Malaysia as case study. Through four residential land use planning scenarios, this research has managed to identify the location and size of the residential site appropriate to the preferred development. The research is aimed towards ensuring safe and convenient location of residential areas for the community. It can also produce different outputs according to priorities given to some parameters during the planning process. This type of research will also expose the modern planning system to easier way of producing plans and within a short period of time unlike the conventional method. It will also provide the planners and decision makers with many alternative plans and with better quality of results in order to support their decisions. The result of this research found that the demand scenarios of “What if?” has a positive relationship with the allocation result and the suitability scenarios did not affect the allocation result if the demand scenario is stable. Hence this research has proven that the application of PSS “What if?”2.0 can be used to plan the proper residential land use allocation. Therefore, it can be used by urban planners who are involved particularly in the study to determine the suitability of the placement of a land use.
