| الملخص: | The objective of this study is to probe into the sources (Takhrij) of the Ahadith mursalah i.e. Discontinued Traditions in the work of Abdul Razaq al-Sanani. This investigation starts with the Book of Manisik i.e. hajj rites, from the chapter of Maqam i.e the standing of Ibrahim up to the end of the rites, and the Book of Jihad. It studies and investigates those traditions by tracing and examining their sources and contents, evaluating their reporters and citing some examples of such Traditions. Accordingly each Tradition is graded and judgment is passed on each with a view to upgrade them to the status of hasan li ghayrihi i.e. dependently good Tradition. This study has adopted both inductive and critical methods by which the researcher has reached some conclusions; that Abdul Razaq al- Sanani is innocent of dishonesty as alleged by some, and the discontinued Tradition is authentic and valid provided it is well supported by other Traditions and evidence. The researcher is also able to probe into the sources of eighty-one discontinued Traditions in the Book of Manasik. The Book of Manasik contains about twenty three discontinued Traditions; they are all well supported and thus merit the status of hasan li ghayrihi, except for two. As for the Book of Jihad, it consists of fifty-eight discontinued Traditions; except for fourteen, they are also well supported and thus assume the status of hasan li ghayrihi. |
