| الملخص: | The research aims at studying and analysing Rhetorical Terms from the Semantic perspective; thereby manifesting its scientific and linguistic characteristics as well as identifying its meanings semantically, psychologically and socio-culturally. The book “Al-Ṇūniyyah Al-kafiyah fi Ilm 'al-Bayan” was selected as a sample for the study, and a number of thirty-nine terms were graphically extracted and analysed semantically by pinpointing at its different meanings. The selected methods for the study were Descriptive Method: which determines and describes the facts phenomena of the terms as well as Analytical Method: which detects and identifies the complex components and relationships between the terms and their basic elements. The study was confined in three chapters, viz: Chapter One contains basic introductory parts and literature review while Chapter Two is theoretical comprising study on features of Rhetorical Terms in Arabic Language, its emergence and development as well as the role of The Semantics towards relishing of terms. Chapter Three is the application stage which explicitly contains descriptive analysis on Al-Nuniyyah Al-Kafiyah, followed by semantic, psychological and socio-cultural analysis of the terms contained therein. The study also shades light on the importance of Semantics in determining the purport of terms and unsealing its dubiosity, as it draws the attention of Modern Linguistic Specialists to expand their scientific competency for the development of Semantics to conform in all aspects of linguistic disciplines. |
