Summary:This study aimed to highlight an Omani figure, Abu Muhammad Al-Hassan bin 'Ali bin Sa'id Al-'Umani who was concerned about the field of Qur'anic qira'at in a time when Omani researchers wrote a little in this field. This study showed awider dimension of this particular figure in different aspects, such as being expert in the science of waqf and ibtida' (stops and starts mark) and various disciplines in Arabic language. To achieve this, the study presents general introduction to the history of the emergence of Qira'at science and how it was recorded. The research has adopted two scientific approaches which are the following: inductive approach and analytical approach. It is clearly mentioned in the chapter one his efforts in serving the Qur'an and it's qira'at, that he had written a book on the science of waqf and ibtida' which is closely related to the science of qira'at. Several issues of this book are also mentioned the book of Al-Awsat. One of the results reached by this research is that the approach which was followed by Abu Muhammad when authored his book Al-Awsat from other Qurraa is that it singled out assets for branches. So, it came to the first part of it a special mention asset and its different details, and in the second part –which is Missing- deal with branches However, the other authors listing assets and branches factual contexts without disconnecting them. The last chapter of this study discussed the methodology used by Abu Muhammad in writing the book of Al-Awsat. The results of the study revealed that Abu Muhammad was relatively lived in the same era when the science of qira'at was in the beginning of recordation. Results also showed that despite of his identity ambiguities in terms of birth, death and his residency in Oman, he left a considerable legacy in the field of qira'at well as waqf and ibtida'and that his books have became the primary resources due to their strengths in wording, showing evidence, field mastery and record accuracy. Besides that, results also showed that his Al-Awsat was the leading book in Qur'anic qira'at in terms of principals in such a manner that he manage to write an independent book and elaborate the topic to the extent that he covered most of the issues with evidences.
