Description
Summary:Knowledge management audit (KM-Audit) in teaching and learning is aimed at promoting collaborative learning among educators and enhance the quality of teaching and learning. Islamization of Human Knowledge (IOHK) is the foundation of all strategic plans at IIUM. IIUM has designed 15 modes to explain IOHK's integration in teaching and learning. Previous research works indicated that KM-Audit integrated with IOHK modes has yet to be conducted. One researcher found that even if an institution is academic in nature, it does not necessarily mean that KM processes are institutionalised within the institution. The objectives of this research were to incorporate KM-Audit with an Islamic approach, which is the adoption of 15 modes of IOHK in teaching and learning, to assess the adoption of IOHK modes at a University with KM-Audit in teaching and learning, and to identify the perceived contributions of IOHK modes adoption to the University. The methodology applied for this research was survey using questionnaire. This research involved 30 lecturers with PhD from three Kulliyyahs, IIUM. Responses were analysed as frequency and themes were identified using the Six-Step methods. The research found that IOHK was rated as very important in the lecturers' taught courses. In addition, IOHK modes were adopted to guide these lecturers and their students to teach, learn and develop within the Islamic paradigm. The recommendations included building a repository for IOHK publications and giving awareness to the Ummah that Islamization is a communal responsibility and not individual.
