| 總結: | Using a corpus-based approach, this study intends to prepare a list of Arabic verbs and prepositions which commonly appear together through analyzing and examining the verbs used in Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) for a period of one year. The objective of this study is to identify the common Arabic verbs used in the news; to determine the prepositions that appear with common verbs; and to indicate the patterns of these verbs. The research methodology employed several steps in content analysis by collecting data from the Bernama Arabic news website and dealing with the news collected with computer processing. This study relied on the Sketch Engine software available online to design a corpus whereby the corpus compiled collection of news. There are two basic tools; Word List and Concordance used for corpus analysis. The Word List makes a list of common Arabic verbs as they occur, while Concordance allows verbs to be viewed within their immediate contexts. Students, teachers, authors, lexicographers and linguists can benefit from this Arabic common verbs list. This study concludes that the verb ( قال ) was most commonly used in the corpus as it occured ٤،٣٥٦ times, as did four other common Arabic verbs ( أضاف، وأكد، وتم، وذكر ) classified under high frequency which occurred in the corpus ١٠٠٠-٥٠٠٠ times.
