总结:Heavy electrical load in vehicle will consume more energy from the battery, thus affecting vehicle performance. Voltage stabilizer is created to cater this problem. The question is how reliable are the aftermarket stabilizer products currently available. In this research work, various types of aftermarket voltage stabilizers are tested to compare their effect to vehicle performance, fuel consumption as well as emission. Subsequently the results will also be compared with the voltage stabilizer developed in-house. All data are recorded and compared with the theoretical data received form the MATLAB computer analysis. From the performance report in the chassis dynamometer test, it shows that on certain value of capacitors there is a 5% increase of torque and horse power. From the emission result using BOSCH Gas Analyzer, it shows that the voltage stabilizer could reduce some of the hazardous gas especially Hydro Carbon which contributes to the global warming. The fuel consumption resulted from the 160 km daily test drive, yielded a 5% mileage increased from the ordinary vehicle setting. From all experiments conducted, the recommended capacitor value needed to equip a voltage stabilizer is between lOOmF to 120mF using the 16 volt or 25 volt.
