The book contains many hadith which mainly deal with the matter of aqidah, ahkam and fada'il. The khutaba', however, had not stated the status of these hadith, neither any research in the related field has done that. Considering the importance of the khutbah and its content, the researcher feels that the book need to be studied and the hadith in the khutbah need to be analysed. Therefore, this research aims to study these hadith in terms of their legal status, chain of narrators and their sources. In this research, the researcher carried out analysis methodology used in the study of status of the hadith. The researcher treats about 66 ahadith in the khutbah and ascribes them to their original sources and explains their status whether sahih (authentic) of da'if (weak) according to the opinion of the hadith scholars. The research shows that of the whole hadith in the khutbah, most of them are come from the authors of kutub al-sittah; 44 hadith (66.6%) come from the writing of both or either al-Bukhari and Muslim, 14 hadith (21.2%) are recorded in the sunan al-arba'ah and 8 hadith (12.2%) come from other auhtors of hadith like Ahmad, Malik, al-Baihaqi, al-Tabrani and al-Darimi. It was found that 51 hadith (77.2%) are sahih, 10 hadith (15.2%) are hasan and 5 hadith (7.6%) are da'if. | ||
