| Summary: | The aim of this research is to ascertain and study the Marāsīl in Musannaf 'Abd al-Razzaq, by collecting the mursal hadith from the book of al-a'qiqah, al-i'tikaf, and Rituals (al-Manasik), that deal with the study of the texts (matan) and ascription (chain of narration/sanad). The narrators are concisely introduced, and the method of takhrij is applied in search of the mursal as mursal itself. Later the study finds the same matan in the mursal narrated by the tabi'in as statements and opinions. Finally, the narrators from among the companions who were not mentioned in the riwayah by the tabi'in are also identified. The level and status of hadīth mursal can also be determined whether it remained da'if (weak), or upgraded to hasan li ghairihi with the finding of additional shawahid (other companions who narrated the same hadith). The essentials of this research are based on the vitality of the hadith's roles in mankind in which an inquiry towards several hadiths like hadith mursal is necessary. This is because these hadiths in Musannaf 'Abd al-Razzaq are unidentified in their level; either it is accepted or rejected. Moreover, this research also focuses in elevating the status of 'Abd al-Razzaq as well as the ascription (chain of narration/sanad) of his book as the topics are related to Islamic laws and jurisprudence. Furthermore, the inductive method with critical analysis had been used in accomplishing this research. The former method was used in accumulating the materials regarding Musannaf 'Abd al-Razzaq and hadith mursal, whereas, the second methodology was applied in illuminating and analyzing the opinions of Muhaddithin as well as Ulama' related to hadith mursal and its hukm, and also in investigating the marasil through the method of takhrīj. As a result, this study discovers that most of the hadith mursal in Musannaf 'Abd al-Razzaq in the book of al-'aqiqah, al-i'tikaf and Rituals (al-Manasik) are entitled to be upgraded due to their justifications. |
