Description
Summary:This research focuses on contemporary dimensions of integrity and its applications in the light of the selected models. It aims to identify major dimensions underlying integrity from the Quranic perspective so that we may ascertain the Qur'anic vision of this concept, its association with correct belief and implications on human behavior. To this end, the paper adopted the inductive approach by examining a collection of Qur'anic texts that deal with the subject from which we extrapolate the meaning of integrity in their various dimensions. We then analyze the various dimensions of integrity in the light of the Qur'an and depict the prophetic model of integrity and its association with monotheism (tawhid) worship, and behavior to highlight the importance of integrity for Muslims within the framework of their belief. This sturdy concludes that integrity in the Qur'an represents a natural mechanism to direct life towards asserting the truth. We argue the need for man to understand the dimensions of integrity in order to best achieve it whilst also encourage the implementation of this ideal in life. The paper links between the dimensions of integrity and the modernist reading of the Qur'an and their attempt to deviate from the intellectual integrity and association with the Quran.
