Summary:With all the technologies we are witnessing these days, and the countless technological advancement, one has to take advantage of them. However, technologies penetrate almost all aspects of human life socially, economically and educationally. Therefore, this research is concerned with is education. The researcher is focusing on the use of the CD in teaching the English language to primary school students in Saudi Arabia. To properly document and test this, the researcher embarked on determining the effectiveness of the CD using none other than Gagne's nine instructional design model. In addition, the study is set to test the student intrinsic motivation and whether it actually improves the teaching learning process. The result of the study and the analysis show that it does in fact accommodates Gagne's nine instructional designs steps. Moreover, The CD has been very effective in stimulating behavioural and emotional engagements.
