| Summary: | This research aims to explains the measures taken by Islamic Shariah to reduce modern financial crimes. The research is concerned in four of them which are: money laundering, tax and customs evasion, illegal use of credit cards and financial crimes in stocks. The researcher also explains each type, the reasons and Shariah adaptation, and discusses the preventive measures in Conventional and Islamic economies. The researcher adopted a descriptive approach by explaining the types of modern financial crimes in terms of its nature and elements. Then he used the inductive approach to identify the views of scholars on these crimes and ways to combat them. Then he used the analytical approach tp analyze the scholars' views and criticizing it to identify the most correct of them. The study found several steps which can be taken to rid of these crimes: tighten controls on the movement of funds to prevent money laundering, awaken the spirit of faith in humans and justice of the governor to prevent the evasion of tax, requiring credit card users to take suitable procedures to avoid misuse, tighten controls on stocks in order to prevent the occurrence of financial crimes. Islamic Shariah assigns a number of measures for every individual, society and government to prevent such financial crimes. |
