Description
Summary:The objective of this study is to probe into the sources (Takhrij) of al-Ahadith al-Mursalah i.e. Discontinued Traditions in the work of Abdul Razaq al-Sanani. This investigation covers the Book of al-Aymaan wa al-Nozur wa al-Faraedh. It studies and investigates those traditions by tracing and examining their sources and contents, evaluating their reporters and citing some examples of such Traditions. Accordingly each Tradition is graded and judgment is passed with a view to upgrade them to the status of Hasan li ghayrihi i.e. dependently good Tradition. This study has adopted both inductive and critical methods by which the researcher has reached some conclusions; that Abdul Razaq al-Sanani is innocent of dishonesty as alleged by some, and the Discontinued Traditions are authentic and valid provided they are well-supported by other Traditions and evidence. The researcher is also able to probe into the sources of 44 Discontinued Traditions in the Book of al-Aymaan wa al-Nozur wa al-Faraedh; out of which 25 are well-supported.
