The study has been done to answer the following questions: to what extent application of quality assurance in e-learning from the perspective of faculty members in Saudi Universities? What are the most prominent models of Global Quality e-learning? What are the features and specifications of proposed model for quality assurance in e-learning in Saudi universities? The study has been completed through using a descriptive way, Survey and development method of screening, what proceeded to study the reality of quality assurance in e-learning within the higher educational institutions in Saudi Arabia. The surveys on Global models, study, research and analysis also have been done within the study. This study provided a model and effective proposal and recommendations to its application towards "Quality Assurance in E-learning (QAEL) in Saudi universities; The QAEL on the principle of complementarities and inclusiveness among its components where of 11 fields represent in the aggregate model of an integrated quality assurance of e-learning, is based QAEL on continous improvement of processes, procedures and practices in e-learning, and highlights the value-added for this model in the recruitment of models of worldwide quality what try to harmonize quality assurance in e-learning and employ technology Kaizen KAIZEN continuous improvement. This is a model QAEL; starting point for developing a comprehensive strategy for quality assurance in e-learning in higher educational institutons in Saudi Arabia; QAEL consistent and harmony with the efforts of the National Organization for Assessment and Accreditation (NCAAA). This agrees with The National Centre for e-learning and distance learning, in line with the recommendation of the first article from the list of distance education in institutions of higher education in Saudi Arabia. QAEL is characterized with easy and clarity, and suitability for all processes and procedures that operate according to the direction of the systems. The major feedbacks, fruits and conclusions from the study are: the existence of a gap within the procedures currently apply in deanships e-learning in Saudi universities, the procedures that must be met to increase the reliability of e-learning and to ensure quality, low level of appropriateness of exist standards to measure the quality assurance of learning outcomes. The study also recommended the need of e-learning draw a clear policy to improve the quality of its services in education; training of internal auditors, providing evidences and documentations to ensure the quality of e-learning and dissemination; and to provide measures of efficiency, effectiveness and customer satisfaction according to world standard specifications. | ||
