The objectives of this study were to identify the level of student discipline problems, the factors that contributed to discipline problems and self-discipline techniques used to improve discipline problems among secondary school students in Yala, Thailand. The study was carried out on 125 indiscipline students from alower secondary school in Yala, by using 40 items in a SDP questionnaire. The data collected was analyzed by the Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) using frequencies, percentages, mean values and standard deviations. The findings demonstrated that the level of discipline problems among students was quite high, especially with regards to the problem of late comers. Moreover, a major factor which influenced the discipline problem was peer group. The results also showed that students were always closeto their friends. This was a dominant factor that contributed to discipline problems. Nevertheless, most of the students which had a record of discipline problems demonstrated that they believed discipline problems were considered to be disruptive behavior. Lastly, some recommendations and suggestions wereput forward as guidance for future research.
