Description
Summary:The aim of this study is to identify the relationship between the mathematics teachers' creativity in the primary stage and the achievement of the students in Arab schools in Malaysia. The sample of the study included all the teachers of mathematics in the fifth grade of the primary (6) teachers, and all the fifth grade of 318 pupils in the Arab schools in Malaysia, in addition to the sixth grade of 40 pupils in the Libyan school in Kuala Lumpur. The researcher sought to answer the study questions using a mixed approach. The qualitative approach was used to conduct a quasi-standardized interview with the mathematics teachers of the fifth grade in Arab schools in Malaysia to answer the first question. The analytical quantitative approach was used to answer the second and third question. A test for fifth grade pupils in Arab schools in Malaysia in mathematics, and a questionnaire were distributed to mathematics teachers for this stage to show the relationship between the creativity of mathematics teachers and the achievement of students in Arab schools in Malaysia. The researcher used a set of statistical tools, including Pearson's relationship, arithmetic averages and standard deviations, and the data was analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) program. The researcher also used the experimental design of the first and sixth grades in the Libyan school in Kuala Lumpur because the researcher is a mathematics teacher for this stage. The researcher used the experimental strategy to develop creative abilities in mathematics for experimental and control groups by using t-test and mean scores. The researcher concluded that there are factors that affect the creativity of mathematics teachers, namely the level of individuals, cognitive factors, fear of failure, lack of self-confidence, internal and external motives, professional satisfaction, training and rehabilitation programs, and finally the school environment factor. The researcher also concluded that there is no relationship between the creativity of the mathematics teachers and the students' academic achievement. The results also showed the superiority of the experimental group that used the strategy of puzzles and discovery when teaching mathematics to the control group with which the usual method was used and with clear statistical significance. Therefore, should be improved by linking Arab schools in Malaysia to the Malaysian Ministry of Education, by conducting training courses and sending mentors and supervisors to improve the creative level of teachers and thus improve the teaching process as a whole.
