| 520 | |a The research aims at designing a proposed programme in acquiring writing skills for non-Arabic speakers in light of situationality and informativity standards of the text. To achieve this goal, the researcher studied theoretical and application framework of the thesis. Specifically, the researcher studied the conceptual framework of the theoretical aspects of the standards of situationality and informativity, the theoretical framework for acquiring the skills of writing, the theoretical framework of the methods of teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, and the theoretical framework in describing the steps of designing the proposed modules. As for the application side, the research went through two phases: the first phase was identifying the learners' needs for learning writing skills by distributing questionnaires to a sample of 47 undergraduate students and 25 postgraduate students at the International Islamic University in Malaysia, then analysing them statistically and qualitatively. The second phase was designing the programme according to the needs derived from the analysis results. The programme was finalized in four modules, each containing two modules of lessons designed to demonstrate the skills of writing in the light of situationality and informativity standards. The research has resulted in the development of the teaching programme of writing from a traditional approach to a modern method of employing the direction of textual linguistics in the light of two of its seven standards: the situationality and informativity. The researcher presents a new educational trend that has not discussed by any existing research, especially in the field of teaching Arabic writing skill for students of non-Arabic speakers. | ||
