总结:This research discusses the subject of polygamy as a legitimate social psychological case, where the researcher provides evidence on the legality of polygamy, the reasons that may lead men to it, and how Shari'ah has legalized polygamy. The study looks at how polygamy saves the five necessities as the original purposes and also achieves some secondary purposes. The most important and greatest historical period of polygamy was the era of Prophet Muhammad (saw) and his Companions. The polygamy then and polygamy in the current society of Makkah are compared. Polygamy among the urban and tribal people is also examined. The attitude of Makkah people towards polygamy and the main reasons behind it are also studied. The researcher has utilised the inductive and analytical methods by reading scientific references related to the research subject, discussing and analyzing the information and linking it to legislation. Personal interviews with Makkah specialists on Islamic law, legislations, sociology, psychology and experts at family advisory centers were also conducted. The subject of this research is very important as it discusses a very significant issue which has been legislated by Allah Almighty but unfortunately is neither properly understood nor applied which shakes the stability of most Muslim families. It also explains how and why polygamy has been affected by common customs. One of the most important findings of this research is that polygamy saves our religion, life, progeny, intellect and property. It also saves brotherhood, causes to gain mercy from Allah and emphasizes the need to cooperate in righteousness and piety which makes Muslim communities stronger and powerful. The researcher has also highlighted the urgent need of changing the way Makkah societies look at and understand the concept of polygamy as they should study the matter before doing it. The researcher also expresses that there should be no problem if the person in charge in the Muslim societies set some rules about polygamy as long as they do not go against Shari'ah and its rules. That should also be based on some accurate statistics; there should not be any constraints from establishing what has been legislated by Shari'ah.
