Summary: | This research aims to study the chosen proverbs from the book entitled "ZAHRUL ALAKAM FI ALAMTHAL WA ALHIKAM" by Alhassan Al-Yusi, who died in 1102 AH, by explaining the formulas of the derivation and its connotations. Proverbs are loaded with cultural aesthetic and history, and culture is best reflected by language. That is why non-Arabs are unable to understand proverbs as a mere language without understanding the connotations related to these proverbs. It is also not possible to understand the meaning of proverbs without looking at the particular morphological structure in which they came in. The importance of these connotations is to direct meanings to their intentions that were set for them. This requires a cultural and intellectual abundance when dealing with historical texts. Through descriptive and analytical methods, this study explained the best fit meaning of the various possible meaning of proverbs in the book by looking at the story behind the the proverbs creation, as the Arabic language is distinguished by its multiple morphological structures which give each form of conjugations an additional meaning, and this appears in the morphological facets and their connotations in showing the morphological aspects in the selected proverbs. |
