Summary:Air conditioning system design, construction, and ongoing adjustments require large capital investments. Yet, current air conditioning system designs often do not meet an owner's expectations for energy or maintenance efficiency, and occupants' requirements for comfort. This issue is the main factor why life cycle cost is important before making the decision to choose the best alternative air conditioning system for the building facilities. The paper will first identify the acceptable alternative system and analyzed by the procedure. At the end the paper will found out the alternative that fulfil the same performance requirements, but differ with respect to initial costs, operating costs, energy cost, replacement cost and have to be compared in order to select one the best system.
