Summary:The subject of building maintenance is growing in important. The new millennium offers a wide range of opportunities for maintenance management industry. Clients are becoming increasingly aware of the need to preserve building assets especially in the days of rising costs* There is also becoming more aware of the contribution of efficient facilities in determining probability. For these reasons, more efforts are being devoted to the management of these built assets. Maintenance organizations strive for efficiency has been driven by a number of reasons. Value for money has been the primary focus when performing maintenance work in the building. Improving customer satisfaction has been the measure for evaluating services provided. The use of maintenance audit has been seen benefited to the organization. Focuses on building, equipments and services system will help the organization gained the benefit of reducing maintenance cost and at the same time fulfill occupants' satisfaction. This study attempts to provide a guide on implementing maintenance audit. It will discuss the maintenance audit phase starting from the preliminary stage until management action. The study will also try to evaluate on the implementation of maintenance audit in one policy of UiTM as the biggest university which is many campuses including city campuses in Malaysia
