| Summary: | Nowadays, there are many contractors offering an all-in service of the highest quality to clients, involving the foremost designer and producing outstanding building. This dissertation will introduce the simplest contractual arrangement, which is a Design and Build contract. Design and Build contract is the most common use for the construction procurement today. As far as I am concern, design and build are the simplest method for clients, which provide cost effectiveness and minimize time. This dissertation demonstrates the advantages for the client by using the Design and Build contract. It also shows a comparison of the Design and Build contract with other method of procurement. Furthermore, Design and Build contracts are lacks of risk which can bring to extension of time and cost overrun. |
