The most serious effects of improper solid waste management include air pollution, contamination of water supplies, and the spread of human disease. Solid Waste Management may be defined as that discipline associated with the control of generation, storage, collection, transfer and transport, processing and finally disposing of Solid Waste. It is also in a manner that is in accord with the best principles of public health, economics, engineering, conservation, aesthetics and environmental considerations. In this scope Solid Waste Management includes all administrative, manpower and staff, transportation and equipments, service areas and etc. There are many factors affecting the Solid waste Management improvement. Manpower problem is one of the factors and also the problems is that the usage of old transports and equipments are contribute to the lack of Solid Waste Management in Malacca. Conscious about these problems, so the Government and Local Authority In Malacca implemented the Privatisation Of Solid Waste Disposal and hand over this management to Southern Waste Management. This dissertation was carried out to identify the Privatisation of Solid Waste Disposal In Malacca.
