So, It is not surprising that the issue of academic excellence has always been an issue of heated discussion and often steal the attention of the public or media. Academic achievement is often seen from the abilities available in the student Students' effort, previous schooling, parent's educational background, family income, self-motivation of students, age of student, learning preferences and entry qualification of students are important factors that have effect on student's academic performance. Yet, it is undeniable that there are other factors that can influence their achievements, particularly when they enter university. Among them is the existence of the mentoring programs for students. Mentoring has been shown to help students achieved better grades, established obtainable goals, and enhanced their self-esteem when partnered with caring, supportive adults. This study attempted to determine the influence of mentoring programs to students' academic performance. The objective of the study is to determine whether mentoring communication, career support and psychosocial support has a significant relationship with academic performance. A survey research method was used to gather 115 usable questionnaires from student of certificate and diploma level from the School of Business Management and Professional Studies (SBMP) of Pusat Teknologi dan Pengurusan Lanjutan (PTPL) Sabah.
