It has great potential to be narketed globally because of its unique taste compared to imported chips such as potato, fish and rice chips. However, these products are inferior in terms of the packaging design. This has led to the difficulty of these poducts to be placed in the local hypermarkets and exported abroad. The objectives of this study is to (1) identufy the problems of Bumuputera SME Industry chips packaging design (2)indentify caausal factors to the poblems of Bumiputera SME Industry chips packaging design, (3) identify consumers perceptions towrds the Bumiputera SME Industry chips packaging design, (4) producing the chips packaging design for IKS Bumiputera as an improvement suggestion and (5) evaluating on consumer's perception about suggested packaging design.
