| Summary: | This research focuses on the content of terabai’s in the Iban cultural community in the early days before the time of the Brooke government when they still practiced headhunting and also after they have converted to Christianity. Apart from that this research also investigates the changes in the present uses of terabai’s so it essential to investigate the factor causing such change and also to examine the material used in its making and the motif in its decoration. Research method carried includes fieldwork in order to observe, to interview a few specialists in the subject and document the data analysis. Library research was done to find out how far the previous research has gone into the subject. Finally, the data analysis confirms that there are changes in its functions, the decorated motif material used and its size. |
