The concept of self-efficacy has been widely studied and proven to contribute to an individual’s Self-efficacy--Study and teaching.. For school counselors, this concept measures their trust in their ability to conduct counseling sessions and school programs related to student development in the schools. However, it is an understudied area. Previous studies have examined the relationship between self-efficacy in counseling and the satisfaction of working in organizations but not in the school setting. Therefore, this study was conducted to examine the relationship between self-efficacy and job satisfaction among school counselors, particularly in Terengganu. There were five objectives of the study: 1) to examine the level of self-efficacy among school counselors; 2) to investigate the level of job satisfaction among school counselors; 3) to identify gender differences on self-efficacy among school counselors; 4) to identify gender differences on job satisfaction among school counselors; 5) to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and job satisfaction among school counselors. The study used the quantitative study design to describe the association between self-efficacy and respondents' job satisfaction. A total of 201 school counselors in Terengganu were selected in the study sample. The School Counselor Self-Efficacy Scale (SCSE) and the Job Satisfaction Survey (JSS) were used as instruments to measure the level of self-efficacy and job satisfaction of the participants. The results showed that most respondents were at moderate levels of self-efficacy (M = 4.13, SD = 0.186) and job satisfaction (M = 3.48, SD = 0.835). The correlation test showed a significant positive correlation between self-efficacy and job satisfaction among the participants with a Pearson value of 0.317, p = 0.000.. In this regard, it can be concluded that the findings will help relevant parties to organize or develop counselors' education programs which are more effective and will benefit their personal and professional development better. Furthermore, this research may contribute to the body of knowledge and add value to the theory in this area while finding out how self-efficacy can develop and improve job satisfaction among school counselors.
