Summary:Youth adulthood is marked by rapid biological, physical, mental, and personality changes, as well as emotional shifts in roles and responsibilities. In order to balance these changes, young adults are often faced with conflicts, identity crisis as well personality confusion. Young adults today, should be taught to have a balanced personality and Muslim religiosity to succeed both in the world and hereafter. The need of psychology of da‘wah in this study is viewed from the perspective of youth adulthood in private universities. Thus, the purpose of this study was to determine the level of balanced personality and Muslim religiosity among young adults in private universities, to compare the mean differences in balanced personality and Muslim religiosity in terms of gender, age, CGPA, household income, and education, and to investigate the impact of psychology of da‘wah on Muslim religiosity and balanced personality. Demographic characteristics such as age, gender, and CGPA were also identified as moderators in this study. A mixed method design was chosen consisting of a quantitative, followed by qualitative methods. A descriptive and survey study was conducted, with 500 sets of questionnaires distributed to students at private universities in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor, of which 496 were analyzed. Meanwhile, the qualitative data was collected from semi structured interview on 7 respondents from private universities in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. The partial least squares (PLS) based structural equation modeling (SEM) approach was used to analyze the quantitative data using IBM Statistical Package for Social Sciences Version (IBM SPSS version 23.0). On the other hand, content analysis and thematic analysis were used for analyzing qualitative data. The findings of the study revealed that there is a significant mean difference in balanced personality and Muslim religiosity based on gender, CGPA, age, income and education. The psychology of da‘wah has a significant and positive impact on Muslim religiosity and balanced personality among young adults in private universities. CGPA and age are moderators in the relationship between psychology of da‘wah and balanced personality, meanwhile CGPA is a moderator in the relationship between psychology of da‘wah and Muslim religiosity. Overall, this study has shed light that da‘wah has different impacts on individuals. Psychology of da‘wah is deemed important as to encourage young adults to develop a balanced personality and improve religiosity as these two elements are crucial in an individual’s wellbeing. Hence, it can be seen that psychology of da‘wah is effective and should be applied all around the world as Islam is an all-encompassing religion. Thus, in addition to academic literature contributions, practitioners will also derive benefits from the findings of this study.
