Summary: | This study aimed to identify the risks of administrative and financial corruption on freedoms and human rights and the role of the three authorities (Legislative, Executive and Judicial) in combating corruption in Omani legislation, The problem of the study revolves around administrative and financial corruption and the extent of its impact on human rights and basic freedoms (political, economic, social and cultural) in the Sultanate of Oman based on the principles of the true Islamic religion, international conventions, treaties and charters, and applicable national legislation, where it was mainly relied on the descriptive analytical approach to address the subject, by analyzing the various legislative and regulatory texts. international and national, related to combating corruption in the world in general and in the Sultanate of Oman in particular, The study reached a general conclusion that the relationship between corruption and deprivation of human rights and freedoms is clear, as it is not possible to imagine a human rights situation unless it is affected by corruption as an hindrance to it, It encourages the disregard of laws, regulations and even constitutional texts, and affects health, safety, the environment,education and a fair judiciary, It increases the chances of crime, organized gangs, money laundering and trafficking in women and children; Which negatively affects the development of the individual, society and the state in general. Researcher propose as a solution to this problem through the development of a comprehensive and integrated strategy that reduces the opportunities for corruption of its various types, which will reflect positively on human rights and basic freedoms in the Sultanate of Oman. One of the most important principles of Islamic law in dealing with administrative and financial corruption is working to activate the role of religious motivation and informing Muslims of the divine punishment for corruptors, in addition to activating Islamic laws that aim to deter corruptors, which will have the greatest impact in getting rid of the scourge of corruption. |
