Description
Summary:In wireless system, an antenna used to facilitate the two ways communications system. Circular Polarization (CP) antenna has advantages in term of reflectivity, multipath and more effective for establishing and maintaining communication links compare to Linear Polarization (LP). In this project, single fed EM coupled ring resonators is been apply. This technique is proven to enhance the Circular Polarization of antenna design. The designs of the antenna begin with the understanding of the basic antenna properties such as return loss, gain, and radiation pattern. A number of designs including the Square, Koch Fractal, and Hexagon geometries have been develop which targeting to operate at 2.4GHz. The simulation work is done using Computer Simulation Network (CST) Microwave Studio software. This project used FR4 as a substrate with a dielectric constant, er Of 4.S, dielectric lost tangent, tan S of 0.017 and height, h is 1.6mm. The designs obtained form simulation is fabricated using a wet etching technique. The results from simulation and measurement have been well discussed. The antennas show good return loss, exhibits below than -1 OdB at desired frequency and produce low antenna gain.
