Summary:The main purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between sustainable leadership practices of headmasters with the level of performance in primary school teacher who received a new deal or bi'ah in the district of Segamat. The sample consisted of 204 teachers from eleven primary schools. All of school received a new deal. The pilot study was carried out on 50 teachers. The value of Cronbach’s Alpha for each construct between 0.80 to 0.93. This study uses quantitative methods with a Likert scale survey instrument used for this study to measure headmaster’s sustainable leadership practiced and teacher’s performance. The findings indicated that level sustainable leadership practices of headmasters in the district of Segamat at high level followed by mean value of 3.7682, while the level of performance at moderately high levels with a mean score of 4.0794. Based on the results, it can be concluded that there was a significant correlation between the sustainable leadership practices of headmasters and performance of teachers. Implications and some recommendations for improvement in the practice of sustainable leadership for further research were also presented.
