Summary: | This study aimed to indentify the knowledge and the implementation of teachers in student’s discipline management in three secondary schools in Kota Tinggi district. This research had explained the level of knowledge and the level of implementation of teacher based on the elements in Model of Students Discipline Management of Malaysia Educational Ministry (1988). The samples for the study came from teachers from three secondary schools chosen in Kota Tinggi district. The purpose for selecting these samples was to know the teachers’ knowledge and implementation levels of student’s discipline management, based on the elements in Model of Students Discipline Management of Malaysia Educational Ministry (1988). The data collected were used as questionnaire in the research instrument. The response to the questionnaire was measured with Likert Scale and analysed by Statistical Packages for the Social Science (SPSS) version 18.0 to get the mean and standard deviation. The study shows that the level of knowledge in students discpline management was high with the mean value 4.40 and standard deviation value 0.14. The level of implementation in students discpline management was also high with the mean value 4.31 and standard deviation 0.13. The study also showed that there was no differennce between the level of knowledge with the factor gender, ethnic and the period of services as a teacher. The study also showed that there was no significant relationship between the level of knowledge and the level of implementation in students discipline management. |
