Summary: | Purpose of this research is to identify the style of Head Teacher’s leadership and its relationship by the working pressure of Kulai teacher's secondary school. The research used quantitative research with the overview descriptive design. A total of 308 Kulai district secondary teachers involved in this research as research samples to a population of 877 teachers. Research instrument used for this research are in form of survey questionnaire based on leadership LBDQ (Leader Behavior Description Questionnaire) style and teacher's working pressure, known as Teacher Stress Inventory. The finding of the pilot study indicated that the instrument’s coefficient alpha is 0.704 to 0.859. Data from the survey were analyzed using the Statistical Package of Social Sciences (SPSS) version 20.0, proves that the dominant leadership style is authoritarian while the main teacher's working pressure are interpersonal relationship. In addition, based on research conducted, there are significant relationship between all aspect of Head Teacher’s leadership style (authoritarian, considerate, participative and successoriented) and teacher's work-pressure (workload, student misconduct, resources, professional appreciation, resources and time constraint and interpersonal relationship). Finally, the study proposed several suggestions to relevant agencies or parties for further actions and for future research. |
