Description
Summary:Graph and matroid are strongly bonded to each other. In fact, a graph can be transformed to a matroid structure. In this study, we are going to to discuss on matroid and its examples and to show that the dynamic graph model of an evaporation process in a boiler system can be viewed as a matroid. The definition of matroid based on the independence axiom is used in this study to achive the objectives that mentioned. The evaporation process model that denoted as Gs (V, E) in this study is developed using the integration of the concept of autocatalytic set (ACS) and graph theory. An Autocatalytic Set (ACS) is a set of reactions whose product catalyzes one another. In term of graph theoretic approach, ACS is a subgraph each of the nodes has one incoming link from a node belonging to the same subgraph. The model had listed about seventeen variables to represent the nodes and thirty six links which are based on the catalytic relationship among the nodes to represent the edges.
