The quantitative data of the study were collected through a set of questionnaires, and then analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 19.0. The qualitative data were collected through interview sessions with three mentors and three mentees, as well as from documents analyses of the mentoring programs’ implementation report. The results showed that the mentors’ understanding on the implementation of the mentoring program, the mentors’ understanding on the implementation of a mentoring program, and the skills possesed by mentors were scored at high mean values i.e. 3.75, 3.79, and 4.07 respectively. The findings also revealed six encountered problems in the implementation of the mentoring program. Finally, about 19 recommendations to improve the effectiveness of the program had also been put forth.
