Semi structured, open-ended interviews were conducted to survey the data and analysed using the content analysis to determine the factors significant to the process. The human factor is the general finding, but in specific, self-interest and incompetency are two significant factors contributing to the turmoil. At the same time, competency, strategic planning, decision making, good governance, political influence and integrity were the findings of the turnaround process.
