Summary: | This study is to determine the relationship between financial ratio analysis and performance of Malaysia’s Rubber Glove Industry. Financial ratio analysis provides information on performances and helps in analysing the future of companies. This analysis is fundamental for accurate decision making and strategy implementation. This study aims to investigate performance of selected companies in Malaysia’s Rubber Glove Industry. Malaysia’s Rubber Glove Industry is a very prominent and highly contributes to the nation’s economic growth. In this study we selected companies which listed as “Big Four” in Malaysia Rubber Glove Industry and extracted database for 5 years, from 2014 to 2018. The companies listed in “Big Four” are Top Glove Corporation Berhad, Hartalega Holdings Berhad, Kossan Rubber Industries Bhd and Supermax Corporation Berhad. This study analyse the performance of “Big Four” using three main financial ratio tools which is profitability ratio, market value ratio and debt coverage ratio. From this analysis we could determine the significant relationship between the ratio analysis and company performance. All financial ratio interpretation of companies is shown in each ratio analysis which gives the most correct reflection of the company performances. Finally, measurement of the overall analysis presents better result of profitability, market value and debt coverage of companies which present the performance of respective company. |
