Malaysia is no exception, with rapid economic growth, climate change worsens the situation. However, the implementation of Islamic values in the field of agribusiness has not yet been established so there is a gap of problems that need to be addressed. This study was conducted to find a solution that is in line with Islamic principles and economic profit, in addition to emphasizing the negative effects of ignoring Islamic values themselves. The application of Islamic values, such as trust, accountability, cooperation, transparency, and social responsibility, into agribusiness management can improve food security in Malaysia. This requires cooperation between policy makers and local leadership to agree to find a middle ground, as well as bridging the gap between cultural and economic aspects while integrating Islamic concepts into the process of making related decisions. To address challenges related to food security, such as limited access to land, water and finance, policymakers must use an integrated approach that emphasizes social, cultural and economic contexts when developing policies, especially for marginalized communities. By encouraging more sustainable agricultural practices, the application of Islamic values can lead to better decision-making and management practices in the agribusiness sector. This approach should involve consensus between government bodies in relation to all levels of society, in line with Islamic teachings, so that both gain benefits and achieve targets in this issue. In conclusion, the integration of Islamic values in agribusiness management can help address the challenges of food security in Malaysia, especially among low-income households. This effort can indirectly contribute to global efforts to ensure food supply for all. 2023 Thesis https://etd.uum.edu.my/11099/ https://etd.uum.edu.my/11099/1/s828775_01.pdf text eng 2026-04-02 staffonly https://etd.uum.edu.my/11099/2/s828775_02.pdf text eng 2026-04-02 staffonly other masters Universiti Utara Malaysia |
