Summary:Computer has been one of the most important teaching-aided instruments in delivery of education. Teachers should be computer literate and have a positive attitude towards computer usage. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the level of knowledge on computer and the attitude towards computer on trainee teachers. This study used a population and the respondents were trainee teachers specialize in Science and Mathematics at the Maktab Perguruan Kota Bharu, Kelantan. 97 trainee teachers were involved and the descriptive statistical analysis and the inference analysis like t-test, oneway ANOVA and Pearson Correlation were used to analyze the responses. Dependent variable is attitude towards computer and independent variables consist of level of knowledge (Software expertise, computer usage expertise, and an understanding of computer hardware), background (computer usage experience, computer ownership and participation in computer courses) and demographic factors (gender and age). Overall, the finding shows that trainee teachers have an average level of computer knowledge and have a positive attitude towards computer. The finding on this study shows that there is a significant correlation between the level of knowledge and an attitude towards computer. The finding also shows that there is a significant difference on the attitude towards computer based on computer ownership but on the other hand, there are no significant difference on the attitude towards computer based on computer usage experience and participation in computer courses. There is also no significant difference on the attitude towards computer based on both of demographic factor, gender and age.
