| Summary: | The study presents the latest findings on truancy among secondary schools in Kota Bharu districts. The study examined the relationship between truancy and disciplinary problems, school atmosphere, family background, peer groups, and the general environment itself The respondents for this study are 100 samples of students out of 1000 problematic students. The results of his study showed that the environment factor as major influence to truancy among the problematic students. Beside that, the study also found that, other factors such as disciplinary problems, school atmosphere, family background, peer groups do influence truancy problems among tlhe students. Therefore, this study recommends few suggestions to overcome this truancy problem where, all the party including parents, schools, society as well as government have to cooperate each other to overcome these truancy problems. |
