It subversively changes the way information stored and has been considered the infrastructure of cloud computing technology. China's development in the field of cloud storage in recent years has made remarkable progress. However, there is a difference between different regions in terms of the number of users using cloud storage. The use of cloud storage in Xi'an is not as prominent as other first-tier cities. In order to promote more users to adopt cloud storage in their daily life and work, this study is conducted to examine the factors affecting the use of cloud storage in Xi’an of China. Taking extended technology acceptance model (TAM2) as the theoretical model, the factors affecting the use of cloud storage are studied from social factors (subjective norm, image) and cognitive factors (job relevance, output quality, and result demonstrability). The results of the study indicate that five independent variables, subjective norm, image, job relevance, output quality, and result demonstrability are closely related to perceived usefulness. Among the five variables, the most prominent one is output quality, this means the quality of cloud storage itself should be improved and further can attract more users. At the same time, perceived usefulness positively associated with the dependent variable-users' intention to adopt cloud storage as well, this means when users feel more usefulness of cloud storage, the more users will adopt it. 2019 Thesis https://etd.uum.edu.my/9468/ https://etd.uum.edu.my/9468/1/s822837_01.pdf text eng public https://etd.uum.edu.my/9468/2/s822837_02.pdf text eng public https://etd.uum.edu.my/9468/3/s822837_references.docx text eng public other masters Universiti Utara Malaysia
