Summary:In an organization, employee turnover is very common because it is a human nature to retain and leave organization. Nevertheless, when there is high turnover in a company, there can be a lot more harms rather than the benefits as the company need to bear a higher cost on handling the post effect of the employees leaving the company. In ensuring that the company is well-managed and did not experience higher turnover which might lead to overbearing cost therefore, this study aimed to investigate the significance factors that might affect an employee’s intention to stay which includes job satisfaction, job-related stress, affective commitment, and work engagement in the electrical and electronic sector in Penang. Therefore, to accomplish the research objective, researcher had conducted a quantitative analysis by distributing survey questionnaires through Google Form. The study managed to obtain 143 eligible responses among the employees in electrical and electronic sector and then, carried out the data analysis by using SPSS tools. In short, the study had successfully answered its research questions and fulfil the research objectives. All four direct hypotheses that have been proposed are accepted and shows a significant value. In a nutshell, future researchers are encouraged to conduct the same gist of the study as intention to stay among employees is one of the crucial factors in business sectors which can lead to the sustainability of an organization.
