الوصف
الملخص:A potentiometric membrane sensor has been developed and optimized based on [4](l)(2,3-diazabuta-l,3-diene)ferrocenophane as an ionophore for high selective determination of glutamate. The best performance was shown by a membrane with composition ratio of [4](l)(2,3-diazabuta-l,3-diene)ferrocenophane (ionophore): PVC (binder): TEHP (plasticizer) at 9: 36: 55 (% w/w). The sensor works well in a linear range of 1.0 x 105 to 1.0 x 10"1 M glutamate with a Nemstian slope of 57.61.0 mV/decade and its detection limit is 7.95 x 10'6 M. The sensor shows working range within pH 6-10 at temperature 25.01 C and stable for a period of 3 months without any divergence in potentials with response time equal or less than 30 seconds. The selectivity coefficient values determined by mixed solution method, indicate a good selectivity for glutamate over a wide variety of other tested anions.
