Justeru, kaedah tinjauan telah dipilih sebagai reka bentuk kajian ini. Sampel kajian terdiri daripada 368 orang pelajar berumur antara 13 hingga 15 tahun di Bandar Lhokseumawe. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah Soal Selidik Gaya Keibubapaan, Soal Selidik Estim Kendiri, Soal Selidik Efikasi Kendiri dan Soal Selidik Kesediaan Afektif dalam pembelajaran. Data kajian ini dianalisis menggunakan kaedah korelasi Moment Pearson, ujian-t, ANOVA satu hala dan regresi berganda. Keputusan analisis deskriptif menunjukkan gaya keibubapaan autoritatif adalah amalan yang lazim dalam masyarakat Acheh (37.3%) dan keputusan tersebut juga menunjukkan bahawa terdapat hubungannya yang signifikan dengan estim kendiri (r = 0.395) serta efikasi kendiri (r = 0.341). Begitu juga terdapat hubungan antara estim kendiri dengan efikasi kendiri adalah signifikan (r = 0.335). Selanjutnya, analisis juga menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kesediaan afektif pelajar dengan gaya keibubapaan (r = 0.638), estim kendiri (r = 0.471) dan efikasi kendiri (r = 0.674). Walau bagaimanapun, terdapat perbezaan gaya keibubapaan yang signifikan yang diterima oleh pelajar lelaki dan perempuan (t = 2.458). Begitu juga dengan perbezaan estim kendiri lelaki dan perempuan (t = 2.109) dan efikasi kendiri lelaki dengan perempuan (t = 7.061). Demikian juga dengan kesediaan afektif pelajar lelaki dengan perempuan (t = 8.016). Dapatan kajian ini juga menunjukkan peramal terpenting yang mempengaruhi kesediaan afektif pelajar adalah efikasi kendiri dan gaya keibubapaan diikuti oleh faktor jantina, estim kendiri, dan pendidikan bapa. Sebagai kesimpulan, efikasi kendiri dan gaya keibubapaan adalah faktor penting terhadap kesediaan afektif pelajar dan ini memberi implikasi kepada pelbagai pihak untuk memberi perhatian terhadap perkara tersebut.
