Sampel kajian adalah kaunselorberdaftar dan kaunselor tidak berdaftar yang melibatkan seramai 355 kaunselor diseluruh Malaysia. Kajian ini menggunakan persampelan rawak mudah. Alat ukuryang digunakan adalah Ethics and Legal Issues in Counselling QuestionnaireRevised(ELICQ-R) untuk mengukur pengetahuan etika, Ethics Practice Surveyuntuk mengukur kepercayaan etika dan tingkah laku beretika serta Ethical DecisionMakingScale-Revised (EDMS-R) untuk mengukur orientasi prinsip etika. Datakajian telah dianalisis secara deskriptif yang melibatkan frekuensi, peratusan, mindan sisihan piawai. Manakala bagi analisis secara inferensi, analisis ujian-z, ANOVAsehala, korelasi Pearson, analisis regresi linear dan analisis regresi bergandadigunakan di dalam kajian ini.Analsisis korelasi menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antarapengetahuan etika dan tingkah laku beretika kaunselor (r = .262, p <.05). Seterusnyahasil kajian menunjukkan bahawa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antarakepercayaan etika dan tingkah laku beretika kaunselor (r = .160, P <.05). Walaubagaimanapun, tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara orientasi prinsip etikadan tingkah laku beretika kaunselor (r = -.65, p >.05). Dapatan analisis regresiberganda pula menunjukkan hanya pengetahuan etika dan kepercayaan etikamerupakan peramal bagi tingkah laku beretika kaunselor di Malaysia.Dapatan kajian ini dapat memberi panduan kepada kaunselor untuk meningkatkantingkah laku beretika mereka khususnya dari segi pengetahuan etika, kepercayaanetika dan orientasi prinsip etika agar perkhidmatan kaunseling dapat dijalankansecara beretika dan bermanfaat. Secara keseluruhannya hasil kajian ini memberikanimplikasi yang amat berguna dalam profesion kaunseling khususnya dalam bidangetika kaunseling, kurikulurn kaunseling dan penyelidikan kaunseling di Malaysia. |
