The data obtainedwas analysed using descriptive statistics, such as mean dan standard deviation, andinferential statistics, such as Pearsons correlation. The results uncovered that theheadteachers portrayed a good level of transformational leadership behaviour (M = 58.8,SD = 12.08), and the teachers stress was moderate (M = 18.78, SD = 9.21). There was asignificant negative correlation (r = -0.706, p <0.001) between headteacherstransformational leadership and teachers stress. There was also a significant negativecorrelation (r = -0.709, p = 0.000) between headteachers transformational leadership andteachers stress, based on gender, and significant negative correlation (r = -0.709, p = 0.000)between headteachers transformational leadership and teachers stress, based on years ofservice. The findings implemented that transformational leadership behaviour coulddiminish stress. In conclusion, the headteachers needed to choose suitable leadershipbehaviour based on the setting, leading the teacher to deliver their role effectively. |
