Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawasebanyak 21 item di dalam instrumen ini telah memenuhi syarat kesahan dankebolehpercayaan dari aspek kesahan pakar dan andaian Model Pengukuran Rasch. Nilai infitmean-square berada dalam julat 0.60 hingga 2.22, nilai polariti item dalam julat 0.35 hingga 0.74dan nilai unidemensionaliti bagi raw explained variance ialah49.70 peratus serta unexplained variance bagi faktor pertama ialah 8.60 peratus. Kesahanskala juga menunjukkan kesemua aspek dipatuhi dengan baik iaitu setiap kategori skalamenunjukkan peningkatan purata ukuran berlaku secara sehala, nilai outfit tidak melebihinilai 2.00, kewujudan puncak yang berbeza dalam lengkung kebarangkalian, nilai pemerhatianmelebihi 10 pemerhatian dan perbezaan nilai antara kategori skala di dalam julat satu hinggalima. Kebolehpercayaan item pula secara keseluruhan ialah 0.98 manakala kebolehpercayaanindividu pula ialah 0.86. Indeks pengasingan item mencatatkan nilai 6.25 dan indeks pengasinganindividu ialah 2.13. Analisis bagi tahap kompetensi sosial kanak-kanak pula mendapatibahawa secara purata, tahap kompetensi sosial kanak-kanak berada pada tahap sederhana (min=2.88,s.p= 0.327) dan tidak terdapat perbezaan yang signifikan di antara tahap kompetensi sosialkanak-kanak lelaki (min=4.108, s.p=0.40634) dan kanak-kanak perempuan (min=42.02, s.p=0.35756, t=-1.227; df=98, p=0.223, p>0.05). Kesimpulannya, instrumen ini didapati mempunyai kesahan dan kebolehpercayaan yang baik. Implikasinya, instrumen ini bolehdigunakan bagi mentaksir tahap kompetensi sosialkanak-kanak.
