Summary: | <p>This research addressed the prose poem in the poetry of Mahmoud Darwish, as this study aims to clarify the concept of the prose poem with understanding the point of view of critics and writers who support and oppose this modern literary genre. Then, it touches upon Mahmoud Darwish's position in this literary genre, which called the researcher to study on these opinions and the literary arbitration and its foundations, in addition working to distinguish them. " Athar al-Farashah " from the poets anthology has been used as a text in this study to clarify this issue, while the poet himself, did not classify it under any literary classification. The researcher used the descriptive-analytical method in analyzing and describing the prose poem and critics' opinions with focusing on Darwish's opinion. The applied analysis of texts was presented in an occasional manner through thirty-four examples in the texts, the researcher analyzed it. The findings showed that the Athar al-Farashah has a modern poetic language of the poet, which through it clarify Mahmoud Darwish's personal experience in his poetry and others' poetry. His poetry was devoid of the prose poem, which did not appear in the study model, and that Mahmoud Darwish deliberately writes his prose texts and poems as well with the internal rhythm and his language. Therefore, the researcher recommends studying Mahmoud Darwish's prose, as it has rhetoric eloquent and important in his poetry.</p> |
